From humble beginnings to a beacon of excellence
Excellent Kiddies Montessori Academy was founded to provide high-quality education and holistic development for children. Over the years, the school has nurtured generations of learners by focusing on intellectual growth, character development, creativity, and social responsibility.
Excellent Kiddies Montessori Academy commenced academic activities on Monday, 19th September 2005 with four pupils, two teachers, and two non-teaching staff.
The school started with Playgroup, Nursery, and Primary 1 & 2. From inception, the focus was on quality teaching, relevant academic activities, and good moral development, which led to rapid growth in enrollment.
Parents and guardians within Bwari and environs were delighted with the excellent performances of their children in internal and external exams, as well as competitions.
During this period, EKMA won multiple competitions including Spelling Bee (FCT first position 8 times, National second position), JETS (National first position twice), Chess (FCT first position twice), and Regional Essay Competitions where pupils even acted as a bank manager for a day.
Today, EKMA has grown to include Nursery, Primary, Junior, and Senior Secondary schools with about 700 pupils and students, supported by around 100 teaching and non-teaching staff.
The school consistently records excellent performance in WAEC, NECO, and BECE. Alumni are now engineers, bankers, teachers, accountants, medical practitioners, IT professionals, and more.
EKMA also trains pupils and students in coding, programming, and entrepreneurial skills such as barbing, cosmetology, shoemaking, tailoring, photography, electrical work, catering, computer repairs, and GSM maintenance.
